持続するタゴールへの関心
　詩人としてのタゴールのみならず、思想家としてのタゴールについての関心は、世界的に持続している。1941年８月にタゴールが死去してから、すでに60年の歳月が経っているが、このインドを代表する思想家に学ぼうという態度は衰えてはいない。
アジア人として初めてノーベル文学賞を受賞してまもなくの1916年にタゴールは初来日しているが、その前後には多数の関連書が刊行されている。戦後は、高良とみ、山室静らの詩集の翻訳、森本達雄先生、我妻和男先生、奈良毅先生らの意欲的な研究が展開されてきたほか、なお幾多の学者・研究者の手によって研究が続行されている。 続きを読む タゴール関連文献 →

The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.
It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth in numberless blades of grass and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.
It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth and of death, in ebb and in flow.
